meet THE FOUNDER

Jay lyons

Jay Lyons is an Emmy Award winning producer and has directed and produced successfully in 3 main arenas of visual entertainment- TV, Film, and Social Media. 
Starting out as a songwriter and producer for network theme songs, he transitioned to shooting, directing and producing on multiple hit shows for MTV, TLC, CBS, and Discovery, winning 4 Emmy’s along the way. Recent highlights include a Spotify music documentary and producing and directing a show with David & Tamela Mann alongside Chance The Rapper performing at the Grammy Awards.
On the film side, what started as a passion project ended up as a full-length Netflix documentary in 2019. Most recently he partnered with popular Youtuber “The Professor” for a short documentary film that has garnered 48 million views. Jay has a desire to not simply entertain, but share stories that affect life-change, and with 100+ million views of his content on TV, Film, and Social Media, he’s well on his way.

At 7 LYONS MEDIA we rely on our vast network of industry professionals in LA and NYC.

Our Camera Operators are working professionals shooting regularly for networks-  HBO, TLC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, . Nat Geo, BET and many more.

Our Producers have vast experience with celebrity talent,.…  first-time talent, and even difficult talent! They’ve worked on shows such as Dancing With The Stars, 90-Day Fiance, …….  My 600-lb Life, various VICE Documentaries, MTV, …….….…   The Hallmark Channel, etc.

Our Editors are top-notch, with a thorough understanding of different formats.  Our team has edited everything imaginable- from Netflix documentaries to Cake Boss, X-Factor, American Ninja Warrior, Supernatural on the CW, and viral videos on Youtube, Instagram, and Tiktok! 

Our Post-Production Team of Graphic Artists, Colorists, ….  and Audio Mixers have an unbelievable array of credits from the Super Bowl to Kanye West to national commercials.
